Managers receive on their computers,
automatically and in real time, information on the status of
their equipment or premises essential to their functioning. This
provides them with the ability to respond quickly.
In
order to facilitate the monitoring task, icons representing
equipment change colour according to status.
A record of all operating states
allows the productivity, cost effectiveness, useful life, and
other economic data to be determined for each external unit,
thereby optimising its management.

SIMOR is currently in use in the Post Office
stamp vending machines, detecting lack of consumables or faults (lack
of stamps, receipt paper, mains failures, break-ins, etc.). These
situations are signalled to the control centre, allowing a rapid
maintenance response.
