Beating the deadline for the requirement for installation of digital tachographs across Europe, GLS is introducing a new and tamper-proof model in each vehicle. Sensors for detecting intrusion are being installed across its fleet of 1200 goods transport vehicles, guaranteeing security and integrity of goods.

"On-board IT" will permit the integrated management of the entire logistics transport operations, representing an investment of 2.5 million euros.

This project results from a partnership between Tecmic and Grupo Luís Simões, and covers the fields of IT, electronics, telecoms and automatic vehicle location.
