As
an important player within the microelectronics sector based on
ASICs and programmable logic, Tecmic supported the conferences
ARC (Advanced Reconfigurable Computing) 2005 and REC (Reconfigurable
Systems Conference) 2005, organised this year by the University
of the Algarve.
These conferences concentrated on new applications and architectures
based on reconfigurable logic, as well as tools for design and
debug. Researchers from national and international academic institutions
and industry participated in various sessions, which were a valuable
forum for information exchange and discussion between the academic
and industrial world.
Both conferences also benefited from the support of the following
companies/organisations: CoreWorks Lda., the Foundation for Science
and Technology (FCT), the Portuguese – American Foundation,
the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, and the Faculty of Engineering
of the University of Porto (FEUP).
In order to remain at the forefront of a field as competitive
as that of microelectronics, Tecmic participates regularly in related
conferences and R&D projects both at national and international
level.
The next edition of these conferences will take place in Porto
in 2006, and will be organised by the Faculty of Engineering of
the University of Porto (FEUP). |
