Tecmic,
offering XTraN in its Distribution and Logistics version, was the
only national company to reach the final phase of this tender, in
competition with some of the foremost European companies operating
in this sector.
The solution supplied to GLS aims at providing
improved support to logistics management, recording in detail all
actions undertaken by employees. From the start of service to final
delivery, XTraN provides information on the status of deliveries,
collections, anomalies etc, providing this information in real time.
XTraN is closely linked to the existing
office IT systems, creating a synergy between all agents and documents
involved in the companys activities.
Through the installation of XTraN in their
800 vehicles, GLS expects to reduce operating costs and improve
the performance of their back-office services, thus strengthening
their position as market leader within the Iberian haulage industry. |
