Since 1988 Tecmic has conceived, designed and produced integrated circuits for both the domestic and international markets, through strong partnerships with R & D institutions and universities.

Tecmic operates as a fabless design house, subcontracting foundries as necessary for the implementation of circuits on silicon. This business model provides the greatest benefits to the customer, allowing the most adequate silicon technology to be chosen for a particular application. ASCI design has always been one of Tecmic’s key activities, and is the only such Portuguese company providing these services for the domestic market. Currently, Tecmic operates at the global level, having worked with several overseas customers.
Within the field of microelectronics, Tecmic also has deep experience in the design of solutions based on FPGAs and CPLDs, with particular emphasis on Xilinx.

With a view to maintaining our lead in this area and constantly improve service quality, Tecmic actively participates in R & D projects, covering new areas such creation and use of IP (Intellectual Property).
